River House Wedding in Ben Lomond, Ca

Sean and Monique were married in July at the River House in Ben Lomound. Its a great outdoor wedding location with beautiful greenery in every direction.

During the ceremony Sean and Monique had everyone's eyes watering up (including mine) while they read their vows to each other. You can see their affection and fondness for each other in the way they gaze at one another. At the end of the ceremony they had a butterfly release in which all the guests participated.

After the ceremony we finished up the family images and then they were off to dinner. The tri-tip was really good! Kudos to the chef! Love Creek Catering

They had several children at the wedding and they provided them with some fun activities. The kids loved the bubbles and the cupcake decorating table was a hit!

Thanks to Jennifer Low for second shooting/assisting.

Golden Gate Park Engagement Session

I met Pete and Jackie at Greg and Val’s wedding last year. When they approached me to do their wedding I was super excited as they where planning to have an environmentally friendly (Green) wedding.

We shot their engagement session in Golden Gate Park at the Botanical Gardens and Stow lake. At the lake we rented a bike; which was great because they are avid outdoors people and love to bicycle. Little did they know that I would be hanging off the front of the 2 person bike snapping photos as they tried to peddle and steer. It was fun for me and they got a good work out!

They get married in mid August and I should be posting wedding images sometime in September.

Lafayette Park Hotel Wedding

I met Kyle and Katie at Daniel and Sabrina’s wedding last year. When I met with Katie for the consultation she warned me that Kyle would not be into taking a lot of posed images at the wedding. Which was fine with me; as I typically prefer to take more Photojournalistic photos and less posed images.

They were married in June at Lafayette Park Hotel. The hotel has some great places to take photographs. I especially liked the iron gates near the front of the hotel.

On the day of the wedding Kyle was pretty kick back and we ended up taking lots of different picture scenarios of him and the guys. We had a blast setting up different compositions!

After the ceremony we took a few more images in the hotel lobby which has beautiful natural light.

The reception was bustling with the majority of their guests on the dance floor. I have to hand it to Brad Kinney Productions; Brad did a great job with transitions and remembering key guest names. Not to mention the music selections kept the crowd grooving til after it was time for me to depart.

Congrats to Kyle and Katie who are expecting their first child very soon!

Thanks to Jennifer Low for 2nd shooting.
